About the Herbs

Flourish & Blossom Apothecary ensures that the herbs used in their products are Certified Organic herbs which have been ethically sourced. The herbs purchased for product use have been analyzed and measured for identity, microbial, chemical and physical contaminants and each lot of herbs has a Certificate of Analysis (COA). They have been screened for moisture count to eliminate any mold, fungus or bacteria. The herbs undergo macroscopic testing for identity and general cleanliness. Microbial testing is done to ensure the health and safety of customers and is tested for food borne pathogens. These testing specifications adhere to the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) guidelines. Additionally all herbs are tested for pesticides, herbicide residue, heavy metals and sulfites. There is no irradiation or sterilization treatment on these herbs and they are monitored for temperature control and for Organic, Kosher and GMP Handling. Certificate of Analysis is available by email upon request.
